This week's items are Toilet Paper Rolls, Burlap and Clothespins.
(FYI-I didn't have any burlap, so I used scrap fabric in a burlap-y color)
Here are my items all ready to get crafty...
And here is my finished product...Napkin rings that double as place card holders!
Read on to see how I did it!
I cut my tp tubes in half and I used mini clothes pins rather than the big ones.
I snipped some fabric into long strips from a beige fat quarter scrap. I folded the strip in half and wrapped around the tp tube to give it a pleated look. I realize it wouldn't look like this with burlap, but burlap would give it an awesome fall feel and will be used for my Thanksgiving napkin rings!
Here they are all wrapped.
Next I used some scrap fabric and ribbon to embellish the napkin rings.
You can leave them like this for everyday use, or you can add the clothespin for party time!
The thing I love about this project the most is how stinkin' interchangeable everything is! I stuck to the burlap color for the link party, but I will most definitely be making these for every holiday and decor possible because of how cheap, easy and quick these were. Any fabric to wrap the rolls would look amazing, any color fabric or ribbon for the embellishment, and I can even cover the clothespins in scrapbook paper, paint them to match the other fabric or add other little embellishments like stickers or flowers! And the name cards could be ANYTHING! Love this, it really gets the creative juices flowing!
Thanks for the parties ladies!
Really Like this idea!!! Nice work!!!
