Christmas Organizer & Make Your Own Tabs

This year I have printed out and am going to be using the Organized Christmas planner.

They have over 40 different printables that help you organize your Christmas Planner.

Some examples include:
Budgeting
Party Planners
Weekly Planners
Ornament Journal (My favorite...keep track of yearly additions!)
Decor Planner/Inventory/Storage
Gift Ideas and Master Gift List
Card List
Black Friday Planner
Meal Planners

I put all of my planners into a 1/2 inch binder and made a little cover page.

On the inside I separated my planner into 6 different sections.
Lists-all of my to do lists
Money-budgeting
Mail-card mailing lists
Food-baking and menu planning
Home-decorations and home chores
Journal-ornament and traditions

I am in love with how organized my Christmas is going to be.  It makes me feel relaxed and happy.

Do you like my tabs for my organizer?  I made them myself...sorry for the terrible pictures!  It was LATE!

Here is how I made them...I cut circles from my card stock and folded them in half.

I measured and drew a straight line where I wanted the tab.
Then I used my exacto-knife to cut that line.

Slip the circle into the cut line.  I used zots to secure the folded circle together.  Quick, Easy and perfect for my organizer!

I'm linking my Christmas Organizer to these LOVELY and GRACIOUS hostesses!

Meal Planning Made EASY

Meal planning is something I have never been particularly good with.  I plan it out, it doesn't stick.

A few weeks ago I read an awesome series on meal planning from Stephanie @ Somewhat Simple.

She goes through in a five part series how she manages her weekly meal schedule.  THIS is the first part.

VERY inspirational, VERY motivating, and EXTREMELY helpful.

I have taken in her advice and am currently working on separating my recipes into two notebooks just as she does.

I have also made categories for our days to make it easier to plan.  Here are my days and this weeks meals!

Self explanatory, vegetarian or vegan meals.
This week...Black Bean and Sweet Potato Chili.

We eat a lot of "italian" dishes.  So tuesdays will be for pastas and Italian dishes.
On the menu for Tuesday... Whole wheat Linguini with Spicy Chicken Meatballs.

New recipe for the week...One Dish Sweet and Sour Chicken.

Thursday's meals will be things that can be quickly done in the evening, or things that can be set in the crock pot in the morning.  I will also add a few freezer meals here and there.
This Thursday...All Day Stew.

This week our Thursday and Friday are going to get down right chilly {I'm soooo excited} so I'm going to make my personal favorite...Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup.

My to do list is HUGE. I wish I had enough time to get everything finished that I have been wanting to do.  I finally sat down and wrote a WIP {work in progress} list.  I'm going to type it all out here so that as I get things done I can show them off.....and undoubtedly add to it.

Oh and I just submitted my Color Your Summer submission.
Wish me luck...because I think my project is pretty cool and I can't wait to share it.
If you want to submit something you have until tomorrow to do it!

Look what I did!

It has been a rainy and quiet day here in the midwest.  Quiet, except for the hour long crying spell Brother went through because of a gassy belly.  Since it is so gloomy I haven't felt like doing much at all today.  I sat (or rather am still sitting) on the couch loving on my little man, nursing, changing diapers, cooing, watching/listening to my favorite Law and Order, and making my internet home a homier place to be!

I am really liking the new changes.  It isn't exactly what I want it to be but I will get there eventually.  I would love to do a cutesy little photo collage and have it be my header, but one thing at a time.

This afternoon I am going to make a list of what I need to do in order to make my blog home exactly what I want it to be...AMAZING!  Oh lists! *gush* The list is one of my favorite things!  There is something so great about seeing all your little to-do's written out with little empty boxes next to them.  It makes all those insane feats seem like they are accomplishable.  I can hardly find words to describe the feeling I get when I am able to cross out one of the little boxes!  I love new notebooks, organizers with wee little tabs for different subjects, big lined post-it notes, perfect list making pens...I LOVE the entire process!  Am I a List-Queen? Yes.  Does my husband think I am crazy?  Yes.  Does it make me a better person?  You betcha!

Oh and notice the cute little signature at the bottom!
Yay I did it! Thanks to bluecricketdesign.net
